title: | Levitation dust around asteroidal bodies |
abstract: |
Dust grains may exist on and around asteroids since the surface of asteroids is always suffered from microimpacts. Simultaneously dust grains are lost in space because of small gravity of the asteroid. The mechanism how dust grains gain velocity is not decided yet, photoelectric dust levitation is one of the most plausible mechanisms. Thus, in this study, we simulate vertical motion of dust grains launched from asteroids by applying a theoretical model, proposed by Colwell et al. for dust motion on Eros and Moon. |
