We have been measuring tropospheric aerosols on the Earth using hyperspectral cameras. This measurement technique can be applied to retrieve physical/optical properties (size distribution, optical depth,
etc.) of aerosol, water ice cloud, and dry ice cloud suspending in the Martian atmosphere from hyperspectral (multispectral) images of Martian sky. We will show expected results of such measurements based on simulation.
Additionally, we will show some research results regarding the following topics; How to choose the wavelength bands? Is there any problem with Liquid Crystal Tunable Filter (LCTF)? What is the effect of supplementary data such as vertical profile of aerosol?
